Google asks Microsoft to remove Ad-less Youtube app from WindowsPhone Store

Tired of waiting for Google to release its official apps for WindowsPhone OS, Lastweek Microsoft launched a newly redesigned Youtube App which is more than just a link for the video. But Google feels the new Youtube App for WindowsPhone is not efficient ads unlike the company’s official iOS or Android Youtube App.

The cease and desist letter that Google sent to Microsoft demands,

“immediately withdraw this application from the Windows Phone Store and disable existing downloads of the application by Wednesday, May 22, 2013.”

While it’s still not clear why Google the so-called Do-no-Evil company doing evil to Microsoft by not releasing Google apps for WindowsPhone platform, It’s disappointing that Google also wants to remove the app which Microsoft developed of its own.

In return to Google’s letter, Microsoft has replied that,

We’d be more than happy to include advertising but need Google to provide us access to the necessary APIs

- Thus indicating Google’s restrictions to them in creating a proper app.

BBM for iOS and Android will happen this summer: Thorsten Heins

If there is a specific reason why Blackberry users don’t jump into other platforms it should be BBM, Blackberry’s Messenger which is one of the most famous messaging platform but available only for Blackberry users.

While everyone else in the world were enjoying Instagram and Skype, Blackberry users couldn’t as Blackberry tied up them tightly with BBM and now the time has come for their release. Blackberry is all set to launch a free app for iOS and Android devices this summer.

BBM app will be compatible with devices running iOS 6.0 and above, and Android 4.0 and above. Announcing this, Blackberry CEO Thorsten Heins said,

It’s time to bring BBM to a greater audience, no matter what mobile device they carry.

Well, Finally BB has got it right what analysts have been suggesting them to do for a long time. It’s no doubt that BBM has a tough competition from Kids like Whatsapp and Viber but Blackberry being the Messenger specialist should crack the market.

Huggies TweetPee tweets when babies pee in Diaper

It’s easy to code – It’s easy to write a blog – Nowadays it’s even easy to start a company – But it is really not easy to bring up a baby and the only expert who can do this is the baby’s mom. Babies often cry and laugh, but more often they pee and they can’t be wet for a long time which is not good for their health, so Moms keep on watching them to change their diaper ASAP whenever they pee.

To assist Moms in this tough process, Huggies Brazil has come up with a small humidity sensor TweetPee clip which is when attached with the diaper, monitors the moisture and tweets whenever the baby pees. The TweetPee app also keeps track of how many times the baby pees and how many diapers left also enabling the Moms to order the diaper in just one click.

We don’t know whether all moms would go for this – to clip a sensor in less than a year old baby’s diaper and also we also don’t know what kind of medical implications this sensor would bring into the baby’s life if used daily.

While all these questions are left unanswered, TweetPee clip is just a concept device without estimated launch date and the TweetPee app for iPhone will be launched in Brazil this July.
