Blackberry launched the much awaited Blackberry Z10 powered by the latest BB10 OS in India for a whopping price of Rs. 43,490 which is quite highly priced comparing its launch in the other regions.
India has been so far a good market for the canadian smartphone maker with many Indian corporates have adapted Blackberry as the Corporate smartphone for their employees. But with Z10, Blackberry is targeting every smartphone lover in the country rather than just Corporates.
Blackberry last month launched its all new full-touch based Z10 with Fluid (That’s what they call it) BB10 OS running on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor backed by a powerful 2GB RAM. With more than 35 most wanted applications pre-installed in the device, Blackberry Z10 internally and externally resembles the iPhone 5 a lot.
To make its stand in India stronger than its rivals, Blackberry Z10 supports the following eight Indian languages, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Devanagiri (Hindi), Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Gujarati, and Bengali.
The new BB10 Z10 is already up for sale in Indian Online shopping websites – so you can buy your Blackberry Z10 at Rs. 45,000 in Flipkart or you can pre-order your Blackberry Z10 at Rs. 5000 in Infibeam which says the item will be released on Feb 26, 2013.
Blackberry Z10, which costs 2600 AED (approx. $707) in Dubai which is an international hub of high-end smartphones, costs Rs. 43,490 (approx. $807) in India which is still a market with more mid-range smartphone and feature phone users – Its almost $100 more than its international price and this shows how desperate Blackberry is to sell its devices and make money out of it wherever it has a decent user base.
